Emotionalism is an album released in 2007 by The Avett Brothers under Ramseur Records. The album's widespread success launched The Avett Brothers into the national spotlight, catching the eye of producer Rick Rubin who would go on to produce their next album I And Love And You.

The sessions feature an all-star group of players with Paul Smith on keyboards, Barney Kessel on guitar, Jim Hughart on bass and Frank Capp (of Wrecking Crew fame) on drums.

Madlib reissues his long out of print collaboration with legendary Brazilian drummer Ivan “Mamao” Conti, propellant for lauded jazz fusion archetypes Azymuth, on his own imprint. Alternate cover artwork, photography by B+.
When Madlib went to Brazil in 2002 with Mochilla to participate in the production of the Brazilintime documentary, his one mission was to meet Ivan “Mamao” Conti, the drummer of the legendary trio Azymuth. Madlib had made an Azymuth tribute record he wanted to play for him. On a rainy night in Rio, Mamao and Madlib went in the studio. Several hours later the rhythm tracks that make up Sujinho were laid and the process began.
Featuring the music of Madlib, Mamao, Edu Lobo, Chico Buarque de Hollanda, Luiz Eca, Baden Powell, Vinicius De Moraes, Marcos Valle, Joao Donato, Dom Um Romao, Airto Moreira and even George Duke… and with guest vocals by Thalma De Freitas — Sujinho is a unique and classic record. Filled with the angularity and edge of a Madlib production and underwritten by the polyrhythmics of Mamao — Sujinho takes Brazilian music into places it has never been, bringing oft-forgotten classics like “Upa Neguinho” to 21st century ears.

Songs From the Deep captures our collective moment perfectly with a sense of personal nostalgia (Late Night Drive, Back Porch), sociopolitical resolve (Forward March), and several powerful shout-outs to recently departed civil rights icon and fellow Alabamian John Lewis (Walk With the Wind, Stand).

Fall In Philadelphia: The Definitive Demos 1968-71 [RSD Black Friday 2021]
Vinyl: $24.99 Buy
Recorded in the throes of their Philadelphia folk-rock phase during the late ‘60s, this record is a collection of rare early recordings by Daryl Hall & John Oates, before their signing to Atlantic Records. Prior to releasing their debut album, Whole Oats,' these two composer-performers had sketched out a series of songs, several of which went on to become early Hall & Oates classics. A great piece of rock history showcasing that early Philly sound before Hall & Oates went on to become one of America’s greatest pop-rock duos.

One of rock ‘n’ roll's pioneers of shock rock, the indescribable Screamin' Jay Hawkins paved the way for music performance art and glam artists to come. His classic "I Put A Spell On You," included on this set, was banned from radio in 1956 for sexual overtones. His legendary performances had him dressed in gold and leopard costumes with props including rubber snakes, a smoking skull on a stick, and his signature coffin. Over his career he didn't record many studio albums. In 1972 he released "A Portrait Of A Man and His Woman." Long out-of-print, it was re-released on CD in 2001 as "My Little Shop Of Horrors," adding a recording of his signature hit, "I Put A Spell On You," which included cover versions of Conway Twitty's "It's Only Make Believe," Fats Domino's "Please Don't Leave Me," and Jesse Belvin's "Guess Who."

Rock and Roll Hall Of Famer, and namesake of arguably the greatest Rock n' Roll song of all time-- Johnny B. Goode, Johnnie Johnson lived in obscurity in his hometown of St. Louis. Johnnie's breakthrough in popularity began with Hail, Hail Rock N’ Roll, Taylor Hackford's documentary about two 1986 concerts celebrating Chuck Berry. Hot on the heels of that movie came Nonesuch Records’ Johnnie B. Bad album, produced by NRBQ pianist Terry Adams, with two tracks produced by Keith Richards. The record represents Johnnie's brilliance
and reaffirms him as the formative master of rock n' roll piano. Guest performers include Keith Richards, Eric Clapton, Steve Ferguson, Big Al Anderson, Joey
Spompinato, Bernie Worrell, Steve Jordan and Tom Ardolino.
This RSD Black Friday release from Saint Louis’ record store/label Euclid Records… Records marks that album’s debut on vinyl, remastered by Chris Muth and pressed on 180g vinyl
at QRP. The package also boasts brand new gatefold packaging.

Includes the iconic protest song and title track, which hit #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in September 1965. “Eve of Destruction” was recorded by McGuire with the original composer P. F. Sloan on guitar, Phil Spector’s Wrecking Crew members Hal Blaine (Frank Sinatra, The Beach Boys)) on drums, and Larry Knechtel (The Doors, Simon & Garfunkel) on bass. The song would be covered by countless artists (The Turtles, Johnny Thunders, The Pretty Things, Public Enemy), and was also featured on the soundtrack to the film Good Morning Vietnam, among other anti-war movies and TV shows. A dominating hit single, it charted higher than any protest song written by Bob Dylan (McGuire covers two of Dylan’s songs on this album: “She Belongs to Me” and “It’s All Over Now, Baby Blue”).

Mobb Deep redefined East Coast hip-hop in the early ‘90s with their release Juvenile Hell and the break-out follow up The Infamous. As the group moved into the 2000s and parted ways with their long-time label, Loud, they released Free Agents as a celebration of their moving on to … well, free agent status. With Havoc handling production on all but three cuts and only two guest appearances (one being from long-time Queensbridge associate Big Noyd) Free Agents is uncut, undiluted Mobb Deep all the way through. The reaction from fans was solid, catapulting the record to its peak at # 21 on the Top 200 with a Top 5 position on the R&B/Hip Hop charts. Out of print for well over a decade, this chapter in Mobb Deep’s legacy is back in effect for RSD Black Friday in a never seen, never-to-be-repeated smokey-clear vinyl pressing.

First time available in Limited Numbered Edition Colored 180g Vinyl.
First released in 1991, Lean Into It is the second studio album by the American rock supergroup Mr. Big (Paul Gilbert, Eric Martin, Billy Sheehan and Pat Torpey). This is the band's breakthrough release, peaking at #15 on the Billboard 200 charts, while the single “To Be with You” became the band's first and only song to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The follow-up single “Just Take My Heart” was a Top-20 hit, peaking at #16 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The million selling album, also containing the popular tracks “Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy”, “Alive and Kickin” and “Green Tinted Sixties Man”. Lean Into It shows that Mr. Big could strip away all the flash and seven minute solos and simply create well-written songs with rhythm, groove and good melodies, making the band one of the iconic new wave of progressive ‘musician’s bands’ who could play mind-blowing complicated riffs on their instruments at lightning speeds.
This is one of the ever-green albums of ‘80s-style hair band rock that transcends the years and 2021 is the 30th anniversary of the release. evoxs is remastering the album using hi-resolution digital transfers from the original analogue master tapes and will be manufactured as a high quality 180g limited, numbered vinyl. The vinyl version of Lean Into It was only ever released in the US as a “record club” edition, and has been out of print for over 20 years.
