Reuben was a British Army Paratrooper, but he wants a normal life. There are no jobs and he is forced to return to the bleakness of life in a rundown inner city housing project, where unemployment and overcrowding breeds frustration, despair, and harassment. A young Black man walks into the office of a rich, white executive and claims to be his illegitimate son. The executive tries to bring the man into his life, but his family, friends, and co workers turn against him and ultimately he is left without a home, a car, or money.
